Therefore, while we understand that orders might need to be changed sometimes, we are unable to do it free of charge after a certain point. We strictly adhere to the following cancellation policy:

• If you cancel your order BEFORE it has been shipped, you will be assessed a 15% cancellation fee before credit is issued.

• If you cancel your order AFTER it has been shipped, please follow our Return Policies. The cancellation will have to be treated as a Return with all applicable fees.

• Orders which are REFUSED AT DELIVERY will be assessed all of the applicable fees listed above - including restocking, cancellation and other applicable fees.

UV protection is the most important feature on a pair of sunglasses. UV rays, short for ultraviolet rays are dangerous for our eyes as they can damage our eyes. The most common result from UV rays is cataracts, which are not a pleasant experience. So always pay attention to the UV-stop performance on the sunglasses.

Many glasses (specifically the cheap ones) can distort an image and change your perspective of a view. They can also cause a blind spot in the optical field, which can be dangerous if you’re driving or cycling. For this reason, always confirm your sunglasses are distortion free. It’s common to feel dizzy after removing a pair of glasses that cause distortion, since your eyes need to adjust back to normal.

There’s a wide variety of colors to choose from for your lenses. Many people see this as just a fashion statement, however the color of your lenses are more than just that. Each color lens offers something different. Gray lenses are best suited for people looking for natural perception, while yellow lenses will offer the highest protection from dangerous blue light. Copper colored lenses are used for shoppers looking for high resolution sunglasses.

Volume of light transmission should not be ignored either. VLT is determined by a number and the normal range is between 18-27%. This is the common range for wearing glasses on sunny days. Anything above or below these numbers will either be too dark or offer little protection.

The comfort of sunglasses is extremely important, especially for athletes. Look for a light weight pair as this is crucial to making comfortable sunglasses. The ideal pair of sunglasses should feel like you’re not wearing anything! A problem with many sports sunglasses is that they easily fall off, so be sure to check on this as well!

At this point, you’ll need to determine the type of lenses you want. The most common type of lenses is spherical decentered lenses. They offer a high level of clarity and provide an open optical field. They usually weigh less than other lenses as well, since they’re on the thinner side. I always recommend the lenses are also blue light blocking.

Sunglasses Fitting Guide.

Stay stylish all summer long with shades that flatter your face. By Anne L. Fritz   Find the Right Frames Rows of sunglasses staring back at you can seem overwhelming — even if there are no eyes behind them. To help narrow your options, Solstice Sunglass Boutique eyewear expert Eden Wexler, who has helped numerous celebrities pick out shades, including Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston, and Rihanna, shares her tips for finding the most flattering pair of sunglasses for your face shape. In general, look for a pair that complements rather than matches your face shape, Wexler says, which means no round glasses for round faces and no angular ones for square faces. You'll know you've found the right pair when it balances out your face. "It's like finding the right puzzle piece," she says. Though her advice will help you find your starting point, Wexler recommends trying on 10 to 15 pairs to find the most flattering ones for your particular face, skin tone, and eye and hair color. Read on to learn what type of sunglasses will work best for your face shape.   FACE SHAPES   Oval Face An oval face is the most proportional, so just as with haircuts, those with this face shape, including Jennifer Aniston and Beyoncé, can wear the biggest variety of styles and still look good. The chin is slightly narrower than the forehead, and the goal for those with oval faces is to keep the natural balance. "Frames that are wide or wider than the broadest part of the face will look the best," Wexler says. "Avoid glasses with a low, swooping temple, which may overwhelm your features." Instead, try a pair of cat's-eye frames, which will emphasize the cheekbones and bring the eye up. Suggested Frames : Any frame shape.     Round Face     If you have a full, round face with few angles, like Fergie or Cameron Diaz, the "goal is to find glasses that make your face look longer and thinner," says Wexler. The best options are frames that are slightly angular to rectangular, which will narrow a round face, or a cat's-eye shape, which will draw the eye up and out. Metal frames are another good choice, as they typically have adjustable nose pads that will bring the glasses up and allow them to rest away from your cheek, which also slims the face, she says. Avoid very round or oversized sunglasses because they may make your face look wider. Suggested Frames: Wider frames with angular /rectangular styles     Square Face   Those who have a square face, marked by a strong forehead and broad jawline, should opt for gently curved or narrow styles that minimize the angles of the face, says Wexler. Square faces are softened by shades that are curved or rounded on the bottom like Salma Hayek's aviators, which will minimize an angular jaw. Other flattering styles are more horizontal than vertical and are longer than the widest part of your face. Gradient lenses (like the pair seen on Demi Moore) that are lighter on the bottom than on the top also work to draw the eye up, visually softening an angular jaw. Stay away from very rectangular or square frames. Suggested Frames: Oval, square and rimless lenses     Oblong Face   Oblong faces are longer than they are wide and often have longer cheek lines and noses, so the ideal frame is one that is higher than it is wide. Your celebrity matches are Sarah Jessica Parker and Gisele Bündchen. "The frame should break the length of the face," Wexler says. Round, deep, low triangle shapes or frames with strong horizontal lines will help achieve proportion. Decorative or contrasting temples are also good as are mirrored aviators. For a better fit, avoid wearing shades smashed right up against your face. Instead, pull your sunglasses down off your nose ever so slightly. "Wear your shades a few millimeters down the nose — not only will they be more flattering but you'll look more mysterious," Wexler says. Suggested Frames: Round, Square     Heart-Shape Face   Heart-shaped faces are noted for their wide foreheads, high cheekbones, and narrow chins — think Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Lopez. "Frames should add width below the eyeline to offset the narrow chin," Wexler says. Look for lenses that are rounder, especially on the bottom, such as classic aviators. Other shades that will flatter heart-shaped faces are rimless styles and those in light colors, as "dark frames are harsh and can emphasize your forehead," Wexler says. Teardrop-shaped sunglasses and wraparounds are also flattering.   Suggested Frames: Round or square   SKIN TONE   Pale Complexions We recommend trying lightweight frames like those with a touch of color such as a rose or amber. Tortoiseshell frames look great on persons with fair complexions (avoid darker versions) but clear, blue or green tinged frames may drain color from cheeks.   Dark Complexions Olive Mediterranean, Golden or Asian skin and dark hair look stunning in silver, gold or clear frames. Avoid black, which can be too heavy for your complexion.   Style In Style In the final analysis, style is a personal thing. In other words, if it looks good, it is good. Oakley shades with business wear? Why not? Funky shades from Ed Hardy in the cab on the way to a business meeting? Sure! Stylish Chanel, YSL, or Salvatore Ferragamo shades with flip flops at the beach? Go for it! It’s up to you! Some say that the color of your lenses should closely match the color of your attire or makeup – others say your should “dare to be different.” Your personal sense of style is up to you – and picking a pair of sunglasses that compliments your sense of style is an important part of putting across the right image.   Frame Size. Measurements For a Frame A frame has 4 basic frame sizes ( eye, bridge, temple, vertical ): Eye Size - refers to the horizontal width in millimeters of one of the frame's lenses. Bridge Size - measurement is the distance in millimeters between the two lenses. It is measured between the two closest points of the two lenses. Temple Size - is measured along the length of the temple, from one end to the other, including the bend. Vertical Size (B) - refers to the vertical height of an eyeglasses lens, and is measured from the tip to the bottom of the lens aperture of the frame. The measurements are taken from a horizontal line intersecting with the top of the lens, to the horizontal line intersecting with the bottom edge of the lens. The B measurement is only important when ordering multifocal lenses. Reading Your Frame Size Most name brand eyeglass/sunglass frames have some size information printed on the inside of the frame, although the lettering can be worn away with use. To find all the lettering, you must look on the inside of both temples, and on the inside of the bridge. If the numbering has worn off use the below size chart to take the measurements ( in millimeters ) yourself. All four sizes ( eye, bridge, temple, vertical ) are color coded to make the size chart easier to read. Size chart   Find Your Current Frame Size If you already own a eyeglass or sunglass frame, look on the inside of each temple to find the size of the frame. The Eye Size is always first then there a dash or a square the bridge size some space then the temple size. The vertical size is rarely on the frame. Note: if the size is not on the temple look under the bridge. Sunglass Size vs Eyeglass Size In most cases a person's eyeglass frame is smaller than their sunglass frame, however if the styles of the frame are similar then the size might be similar. If the sunglass frame is a wrapped frame ( has a curve to it ) then usually the frame will fit a more wide-range of people. Best Way to Find What Frame Size I Need In most cases, if you're looking to purchase an eyeglass frame you should use the size from a previous eyeglass frame you've owned. If you're looking to purchare a sunglass frame then you should use the size from a previous sunglass frame you've owned. The best thing to do is go to a local store try-on some frames until you either find a frame you like then come back to our website to purchase that frame. If you find a frame you like make sure you look on the inside of the temple to find the model number and the size since frames do come in multiple sizes.
